You will only be entitled to an agent's or branch manager's licence if:
- you are 18 years old or over; and
- you are not prohibited from being licensed for any of the reasons set out in section 37 of the 2008 Act; and
- you are a fit and proper person to hold a licence; and
- you have the prescribed qualifications; and
- you have obtained three years real estate industry experience within the last 10 years.
You will only be entitled to a salesperson's licence if:
- you are 18 years old or over; and
- you are not prohibited from being licensed for any of the reasons set out in section 37 of the 2008 Act; and
- you are a fit and proper person to hold a licence; and
- you have the prescribed qualifications.

Does a person who holds an agent's licence need to be licensed as a salesperson if he or she wants to work as a salesperson?
No. A person who wants to carry out real estate agency work only has to hold one licence. An agent's licence allows a person to do any of the work covered by a branch manager's or salesperson's licence.
