Individual fees and levies will be paid by each agent, branch manager and salesperson for each licence they hold.
All amounts shown are in New Zealand dollars and any refunds are at the discretion of the Authority.
Fees
Fees have been set by the Authority for new licence applications and for an application to renew a deemed real estate licence. These are flat fees that apply to all classes of licence.
All agents, branch managers and salespersons who have a current licence or certificate of approval will be deemed to be licensed on 17 November 2009. Licences that are deemed will expire on 31 March 2010 and licensees will be charged an application fee for renewing their licence.
People applying for a licence for the first time will also be charged an application fee.
Application for a new real estate licence $95.00 (excl GST)
Application to renew a deemed real estate licence $95.00 (excl GST)
Application fees are non-refundable if an application is declined.
There will be no fee for annual renewal of a licence from the year starting 1 April 2011.
No fee will be charged for the voluntary suspension and voluntary surrender of a licence, or for the change of a licensee name or address.
Levies
An annual operational levy has been set by the Authority to recover costs arising from the functions of the Authority and the Registrar, including administering the regulatory and complaints regime. The operational levy also includes the recovery of the establishment costs of the Authority and the Disciplinary Tribunal.
A disciplinary levy has been set to fund the costs of the Real Estate Agents Disciplinary Tribunal.
Annual operational levy $366.00 (excl GST)
Annual disciplinary levy $ 33.00 (excl GST)
The annual levies will be payable on renewal of a licence.

Real Estate Agents Authority (Fees and Levies) Notice 2009
Pursuant to sections 20, 21 and 22 of the Real Estate Agents Act 2008, the following notice is given.
Notice
1. Title and commencement
(1) This notice may be cited as the Real Estate Agents Authority (Fees and Levies) Notice 2009.
(2) This notice comes into force on 17 November 2009 and applies to fees and levies from 17 November 2009.
2. Fees and Levies
The Real Estate Agents Authority sets the following fees and levies, payable to the Registrar or the Authority, specified in the attached Schedule.
3. No refund
Fee non refundable if application declined.
4. Tax
The fees are exclusive of goods and services tax.
5. This notice is a Regulation for the purposes of the Regulations (Disallowance) Act 1989.

Note: Transitional arrangements in the Real Estate Agents Act 2008 (sections 166 and 167), licences that are deemed will expire on 31 March 2010. Licensees will incur an application fee for the granting of a new licence under the provisions of the Real Estate Agents Act 2008.
