The Act requires that licensees must advise the Registrar of any change of circumstances within 10 days of the change. Change of circumstance means:
- any change in the information recorded in the register
- any change in the real estate business for which a licensee works
- any change required as set out in the Real Estate Agents (Licensing) Regulations 2009.
Please use the appropriate form to notify the Registrar of your change in circumstances.

If you have sent your application for a licence to the Registrar but your application has not yet been approved and your circumstances have changed, you must advise the Registrar using the appropriate form.

Matters contained in the register are:
(a) the full name and business address or, in the case of a company, registered office address
(b) any aliases
(c) the registration number issued by the Registrar
(d) the address for communications under this Act
(e) the name of any company, body corporate, or other agent that is associated with the licensee
(f) any information about the status and history of the person's licence, particularly-
(i) the class of licence held by the person; and
(ii) the date on which the person's name was entered in the register; and
(iii) the date of expiry of the person's licence, or as the case may be, the date of renewal of the licence; and
(iv ) the date on which the term of renewal of the licence expires; and
(v) any action taken on a disciplinary matter in respect of the person in the last 3 years
(g) whether the licensee has completed any continuing education required by practice rules made by the Authority.
Matters set out in the regulations about which a change of circumstances must be notified are:
For a company
(a) the identity of the officer or officers who are, licensed as an agent; or
(b) any change in the circumstances of that officer(s) that cause, or may cause, that officer(s) to become prohibited from holding a licence under section 37(1)(a), (b), (e), (g), (i), or (2) of the Act; or
(c) the identity of the persons who are officers of the company, including the addition of any new officer, and the removal or resignation of any existing officer as advised to the Registrar in the company's most recent application relating to the company's licence; or
(d) circumstances of any officer of the company that may result in that officer, by reason of his or her personal character or financial position, no longer being a proper person to be an officer of a licensee company.
For an individual
(a) any change of circumstances that causes, or may cause, that individual to become prohibited from holding a licence under section 37(1)(a), (b), (e), (g), (i), or (2) of the Act; or
(b) may result in that individual no longer being a fit and proper person to be licensed as an agent, a branch manager, or a salesperson.
Section 37 of the Act sets out a number of convictions that prohibit a person from being licensed. You should check the relevant section of the Act, or seek further information from the Registrar if necessary.
If, before a licence is issued to an applicant, there is a change in circumstances that affects the information provided on the application form or any accompanying statutory declaration submitted by that applicant, the applicant must give written notice of that change.
