The Chief Executive/Registrar of the Real Estate Agents Authority, Janet Mazenier has resigned (30 June 2010)
The Chief Executive/Registrar of the Real Estate Agents Authority, Janet Mazenier has resigned from the Real Estate Agents Authority.
As the Authority has completed 7 months of operation and as the new regime is well-established, Janet intends taking on a new challenge having had responsibility for the implementation of the Authority from inception in January 2009.
The Board of the Authority thanks Janet for her work in assisting with the establishment of the Authority, her leadership and commitment to the organisation and wishes her well with her future endeavours.
Margaret Steel is the acting Chief Executive/Registrar.

Real Estate Agents Authority announces the New Code of Conduct for the real estate industry (15 October 2009)
15 October 2009: The Real Estate Agents Authority has released rules today, which set the standard for the real estate industry when dealing with people buying or selling a property in New Zealand.
The Real Estate Agents Act (Professional Conduct and Client Care) Rules 2009 set a code of conduct that has been developed in consultation with the industry and is based on best practice in occupational regulation, Authority Chairperson Ms Kristy McDonald, QC said today.
