Social Media terms and Conditions​

We have official profiles on two social media sites: Twitter, and LinkedIn. You can follow us on Twitter or LinkedIn to stay up-to-date with the latest information from us.

We use social media as a way to communicate and engage with the community and those interested in the work we do.

Communications via Social Media

If you follow us on Twitter, you can potentially receive several tweets a day. If you follow us on LinkedIn, you can expect several updates a week. 

Our tweets, posts and updates may include a wide variety of information about our work including media releases, recruitment information, promotion of our services, consumer information, some complaint decisions, and retweets.

We may follow organisations and individuals on Twitter who are relevant to the us. We will not usually follow individuals; however, we may do so temporarily to allow direct messages.

We will attempt to answer your questions; however, we can’t enter into political discussions or discuss specific cases or complaints. Where we have published a decision about a specific case or complaint, we will provide a link to information published in the Real Estate Agents Authority decisions database.

Retweets, @mentions, commentary, #hashtags, and third party content

Like all users, we sometimes use #hashtags. We may retweet, @mention, or post information by other Twitter users for the interest and information of our followers. Please refer to our Disclaimer and Copyright terms regarding your use of such third party content.

Monitoring

Our social media accounts are monitored. We normally monitor our accounts between 8.30am – 5pm on working days, but may choose to monitor our account more regularly at times. 

We aim to respond to all questions within one working day however we can't guarantee we will be able to reply individually to every post. If you have an urgent query, please contact us directly.

We reserve the right to remove any post, comment or content that is not relevant, is deemed offensive, has political bias, affects our neutrality or refers to commercial activity including advertising. We may report, block or ban anyone who posts inappropriate content or who, in our opinion, breaches the terms of use of a social media service provider.
